HerGame International is excited to announce an alliance with Daan Polders a nationally known veteran field hockey coach. As a former international coach and player and coach of two very successful Division I College programs, Daan Polders has now shifted his attention to developing talent in players at the elementary and high school level. Daan’s experience has taught him that a great athlete needs to be both physically and mentally tough. He focuses on personal attention and quality in order to improve students’ performance and help them better enjoy the sport.

Who is Coach Polders?
Most recently Coach Polders was the director of field hockey at Colorado Academy, winning the state title in 2012 & 2013.

Prior to that, Coach Polders was the former coach at Michigan State University (2001‐2004) and Associate Head Field Hockey Coach at Wake Forest University (2005‐2011). He won many championships with both teams and has coached many All‐Americans and National Team players.
Coach Polders, has been an active coach among youth and adult teams, and has coached for USA Field Hockey programs and camps, and the Men’s National team at the Olympic Training Center in California.

Coach Polders’ playing resume is extensive as well. He played field hockey in the Dutch Major League, as well as for the Dutch National Army Team. As a Dutch international player, he played with some of the best players in the world, competing against England, Spain, France, Russia and Germany.

Why Coach Polders?
His knowledge of, and passion for, the sport translates in his coaching. He loves what he does and he knows how to make it fun and challenging for his players. Coach Polders knows what it takes to improve a player, how to make the experience enjoyable for the athlete and how to make a difference to their game. He wants to help interested and ambitious young players get to the next level.
